Fresh
The brand-spankin’ new Reichel Pugh 52 “Vincitore” shown here on her way to the fresh water of the Great Lakes for her first major event, the Chicago Mackinac race. The race is billed as the longest freshwater race in the world, and this year’s hundredth anniversary of the race is proving to be a great draw for hot boats like this one.
Built in Christchurch, New Zealand, the racer/cruiser is NOT a TP-52, and it’s strange in this day and age that the builders, designers, and the customer have stayed well off Anarchist radar until now. She certainly looks like an elegant girl under sail (LINK TO PIC 2 HERE). Cheers to Damnskippy for the pics, which came up in a great thread that has turned into a complete guide to the history of the TP52. If you like big boats, this is a great read.
