Nick
Peate, 17 of Ballina, 29er youth representative for the worlds later this
year in Denmark, took
his own life after battling depression over the past 12 months.
His loss is incredibly hard to digest as he was such a great friend to
everyone he met. I was lucky enough to know and work with Nick for nearly
10 years and his death is being felt throughout the Australian sailing
community.
