Not So Great White
Great
White, an Atlantic 46 catamaran was sailing south to the Bahamas earlier
last week. Somehow she was run up on the rocks in a Northerly and then
went on to a jetty /breakwater on the north side of entrance to Georgetown,
SC about 3pm. Nothing more to say. They were taken off by USCG – too rough
to pick the boat off the rocks early that Wednesday morning.
Later
when went out to try to salvage 6 hours later – she was
totaled. The pictures show her afterwards she had been pushed over
Jetty and ended up on a shoal near Georgetown. Port hull is totally
gone. House empty. Starboard hull floating and dry. The new Hall Wing
Mast and Sails OK anyone know of a good hull without a rig?
