Moose Let Loose

Moose Let Loose

has a number of sailing activities planned, for 2008, which will keep
many of its America’s Cup team together and focused on performance.

the most exciting news is that the team has a new 100 foot maxi named
Speedboat, designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian. The canting keel yacht, which
was launched earlier this month, in Auckland, will be skippered by Mike
Sanderson in a series of events, starting with the Newport to Bermuda
Race on 20 June. This will be followed, in July, by a possible Trans Atlantic
record attempt. Speedboat will then join the Mediterranean racing scene
starting with the Maxi Worlds in Sardinia in September.

will also be competing in the 2008 iShares Extreme 40 Catamaran Circuit,
alongside Alinghi and BMW Oracle Racing, with a boat skippered by Robert
Greenhalgh, who skippered last year’s champion, Team Basilica.

British America’s Cup team will also be on the World Match Race Circuit
this year, when Ben Ainslie’s Olympic duties allow it. Ben and his
team will first fly TeamOrigin’s flag in Marstrand at the Swedish
Match Cup (30th June – 6th July). More here.
