Celebrate

Celebrate

It’s
been exactly two years since we created our Cruising
Anarchy forum
, and most of you will agree that it’s been a resounding
success. CA is a bit less rowdy than our more racing-oriented forums,
but it’s full of great information and tons of characters, and there are
plenty of shitfights to keep things fun.

The
birth of the beautiful CA-36 performance cruiser here
in the forums
has highlighted what we’re all about – a community
of people sharing their ideas to make sailing more enjoyable. This week
we logged the 100,000th view of the CA-36 thread less than two months
after its genesis – the fastest a topic in any forum has ever seen
this number of hits. The Anarchists who’ve contributed to the concept
– they call themselves the World’s Largest Yacht Design Office (“WLYDO”)
– are celebrating this milestone and the interest in the concept by throwing
an online party, and anyone interested is invited to participate. We don’t
really understand what’s going to happen and it’s all a bit bizarre, but
we have a habit of doing things here that no one’s done before, so roll
with it. It also happens to be Olin Stephens’ 100th birthday – so
if you’re interested in seeing what all the fuss is about, tune
in
on Sunday at 1800 Pacific/2100 Eastern/0200 GMT/1100 Sydney and
raise a glass of your favorite drink to Olin Stephens along with Bob Perry
and the group,

Thanks
to Gunboat for sponsoring Cruising
Anarchy and making it all possible.
