week’s UK storms resulted in some debris around its coasts, in the shape
of ships and their cargos.

The Blackpool holiday resort, best known for its famous Tower, gained
a new attraction when the RoRo ferry Riverdance ended up on its beach.
The ship was on route from Warren Point in Northern Ireland to Heysham,
Lancashire when its cargo shifted and it developed a 40º list. Local
café and restaurant owners would be quite pleased to have it stay,
as it has given winter trade an unexpected boost, but salvage is underway.

Less lucky was the fishing vessel Spinningdale,
which got swept onto rocks in Scotland and looks like ending up a total
