Coville is now chasing Francis Joyon around the world. That’s the reality,
even if his website insists he’s after Ellen MacArthur’s record and is
pretending Joyon doesn’t exist.

Coville had a good first night and ended up ahead of Ellen by about 6
hours, but she’s catching him now as he heads due west to skirt a big

Joyon, on the other side of the world, clocked up yet another record crossing
the Indian Ocean in 9 days, 12 hours and 3 minutes; 3 days 6 hours and
54 minutes quicker than the previous record held by Ellen Mc Arthur. What
did he have to say about it? "I’m just doing my job as a sailor,
you know…"
