the minute you step off the plane at the terminal you get the idea that
something big is happening at Kuala Terengganu. Banners proclaim that
the popular tourist destination on Malaysia’s north east coast is hosting
"the world’s richest sailing event" and aside from the 1m Ringgit
prize pool (around $300,000USD), hundreds of millions more has been spent
over the past three years on one of the best purpose-built yachting arenas
in the world.
