I
have just spent two days watching some very close racing with final deltas
of one length, 2 seconds, 1 second and 1 foot. The
Finals of the China Club Cup Challenge were held on the waters off Xiamen,
Fujian Province in China over the weekend of 3rd/4th November. This was
sailed in testing conditions between HanSheng and Shanghai Boat &
Yacht Club (SBYC).

While
there is not the large sailing scene here in China that exists in the
US or Europe, events like the Club Cup Challenge and China cup are very
healthy green shoots in the embryonic Chinese ‘big boat’ sailing scene.
