Mayhem in Mehamn

"I am holed up in the small but well protected harbour in Mehamn.
The weather is atrocious with more or less constant gales howling in from
the west. Wind speeds just offshore are touching 50 knots making for treacherous
sea conditions. All the fishing boats are remaining in port. The problem
is not only the severity of the weather, but for my purposes the wind
is unusable – coming predominantly from the west and southwest I would
be headed if I ventured out into open water."
