sort of wind for racing seems to be the moan in many parts of the world
these days and it was, certainly, true of Euroland this weekend.
Clipper Round the World yachts are heading out of Europe, past the
Cape Verde Islands and heading for the Doldrums, in conditions that
might suggest they’ve got there already!
Silk, skipper of westernaustralia2011.com reported "The wind went
from 35 to 3.5 knots, with a 180 degree shift in direction." Hull
& Humber reported "a fabulous spinnaker run through the Cape
Verde Islands, followed by a frustrating night in light airs."
