Touchy-Feely

We
rolled into Detroit just a few hours ago after a 16 hour haul from down
in Dixie. After dropping a Melges off at Bayview for the upcoming US
Nationals
, we pulled up to Sister Clean’s house to tuck the nephew
into bed and babysit him for the night while his mom is off on a little
R&R trip.

Li’l
Jakie couldn’t stop talking about last weekend, which he spent motoring
around on a Beneteau 36.7, courtesy of a random SA connection with Anarchist
Dickie Greenleaf. They were watching Dickie sail his new Melges 24 at
the Red Fox Regatta – one of those run-what-you-brung events that is
a staple of racing in the Midwest – but that’s not all they saw. SA
is truly spilling out into the open now, and all Jake could talk about
was all the "Ananarchy People" that he got to meet and talk
to up in Charlevoix and Boyne City.
