Hello Governor

The
final day of the 41st Governor’s
Cup
included some very close races, including two between Balboa Yacht
Club and Annapolis Yacht Club teams where they crossed the line within
inches of each other, with Annapolis edging out BYC both times to place
fifth. The final three races between the Newport Harbor Yacht Club and
the defending champions, King Harbor Yacht Club teams included many changes
of lead, but in the end the Newport Harbor Yacht Club team of Michael
Menninger, Cole Hatton and Chris Segerblom were victorious two out of
three races. They won the right to have their name engraved on the venerable
Governor’s Cup. The last time NHYC won was in 1998. The final standings
are, NHYC first, KHYC second, Cruising Yacht Club of Australia third,
and St. Thomas Yacht Club from the Virgin Islands in fourth.
