Boom Jewelry at Chicago YC Monroe

I’m lazing around on Nice Pair right now as we deliver her from Mackinac Island, Michigan down to Port Huron for the start of the second Midwest Classic of the summer – the Bayview Mackinac Race.  Not surprisingly we’ve got “delivery winds” – that is, on the nose and just strong enough to make it annoying, but not strong enough to make sailing to windward more time-efficient than motoring right into it. 

I’m not complaining much, though.  I’ve got my beautiful wife, a great owner aboard, plenty of food and a somewhat stable internet connection – and technically, I’m working.  A year ago at this time I was wearing a suit, sitting at a desk.  ‘Nuff said.
