A breezy day on Sydney Harbour meant some mast-washing for Pierre Pennec and the Lino Sonego X40 team today; Sydney’s time zone is perfect for live action for US West Coasters, starting at 0030 ET/2130 PT today.  We don’t know who’s winning the season or, frankly, which teams are racing, and the X40 broadcast is usually pretty weak, but with a solid forecast for tonight (Saturday afternoon local) and more chances for carnage, we’ll be taking a look.

Just two more days remain in an extremely tight fleet for the M32 Series Battle of Helsinki, and Day 3 begins in just a few minutes.  Tease yourself here, and watch the awesome action from Day 2 here, and if you think Clean sucks at commentary, go here and tell him.

Wanna watch some old school live sailing coverage with a screaming italian commentator??  Our old friend Mauro keeps it real on a shoestring over here.

With five different boats winning the first five races of the M32 Series opener in Oslo, calling the racing ‘tight’ is something of an understatement.  The one boat off the pace is first-time M32 competitor Eivind Melleby’s Team Hydra from Norway, and here’s a shot showing their form on a puffy day in the Oslo Fjord.  The M32 proved its beach cat heritage accurate – Melleby’s team was upright and racing 15 minutes after their tip.

Thursday’s highlight reel is here, and the full replay of the live footage is here.  Stay tuned to the front page for today’s racing, beginning at 1400 CET/0800 EST with Clean on the mike.  Photo credit Henrik Ljungqvist/M32Series.
