by hook or by crook. and not.

Update: As with nearly every single thing in this ill-fated version of the America’s Cup, whenever something good happens – like Oracle’s rather stirring first race win – then something bad happens. This time abandoning, once again, due to exceeding the ‘wind limits”. Sure it’s a broken record, and sure it’s ridiculous, especially as Ken Read said “it exceeded the limit for about 3 seconds.” And that, faithful readers, is all it takes to make this one of the biggest fiascos in sailing. Good Times.

With a last second brilliant hook at the start Jimmy Spithill did a masterful job owning, controlling and doinating race one today. Incredibly, Oracle now appears to be the significantly faster boat and we can’t wait for race #2! Jump in the thread here.
