From the Big Pimpin’ files…
We experienced a lot of interest in our new WRace GP 26 from the Norwegian competitive sailors at the Oslo Boat Show pictured above, and sailing magazines have already booked appointments for test sailing the boat as soon as the season opens in May. Overwhelmed with the level of interest, the Norwegian owners of Hull #1 asked for the the rights to represent the Wraceboats in Scandinavia, and they are now the second representative of the brand, after Jim Donovan in the USA. We shipped Hull #3 to North East USA today, she is expected to sail in mid May.
We are currently busy with with the production for 2 lifting keel boats for the USA clients, these one of these boats will also go to North East, other to Florida.
Also we are close to launching our new demo boat, Hull #4.
This summer will be interesting in many ways, we will improve on rig and boat tune by exchanging info among the owners which are in Hong Kong, Turkey, Norway and USA.
Also we may get get new speed records from these boats, and Kevin’s one-off. The latest we heard was from Hong Kong getting a 3rd place in IRC racing among bigger boats, speeding up to 16,8 knots downhill. Currently, Hull #1 has the record with 19,6 knots. The boat really is something special – Check it out! (take a look at the guy sitting in the tiny cockpit of the boat next to the GP 26. I think that’s called cockpit envy! – Ed)
And jump in the thread.
