Texas BBQ
Jud
Smith’s invisible engine was turned on as usual for the first day of the
Etchells North American Championships on Galveston Bay outside of Houston,
Texas. Even through a broad range of conditions that tested the abilities
of everyone on the race course, Jud held on to a steady position in the
top boats of the 30-boat fleet. On his way to his fourth consecutive NA
win, Jud finished Thursday with a four-point comfortable lead over the
second-place boat sailed by Hank Lammens.
